You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.
You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Question...

Matthew 6:20 (NLT) says

"Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal".

My question is, how do you store your treasures in heaven? What is it that people do to store treasures in heaven? How?

Hit the link that says 'additional thoughts' below and tell me your ideas, please. See it there, at the end of this post? I am interested in what people think of this verse/instruction and how you have seen it practically applied in life.

What does it look like? How do you know that you are storing your treasures in heaven? How does it feel? Can you give any examples?

Thanks!

  1. I think that you store treasures in heaven when you acknowledge God's direction for your life and listen for His guidance. He has plans for you and when you follow His lead and fulfill those plans, you are storing treasure in heaven. Also when you love others as you love yourself and care for others in ways that take courage, faith and love.
