You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.
You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

A few of my favorite moments.....

One son on each leg. I don't know if I've ever been happier than at those moments. Or felt more.....complete? whole? at peace? sure of my purpose? content? blessed? grateful? Yes, all of those things, and more. Much, much more.

There were many moments like this on this trip, but these two are the only ones caught by my camera. This is how I spent all of our time at church. Other than the time wandering around trying to find the toilette. But that's a whole other blog post.

In the first image, we're watching a video in the new 'movie corner' at the orphanage with lots of the other kids. That lasted until the electricity went out. I have no idea what video-but it was a cartoon. I wasn't really focused on that, just on being there, with the boys, enjoying the moment. In the second pic, we're just hanging out in the nursery upstairs. The boys are most definitely attached to each other, which is a huge blessing that they have each other, both now and in the future.

Lord, I pray that these boys come home while I can still fit one on each leg. In Jesus holy name, I pray.

  1. Lena, it was a joy to watch you with your boys... and truly THAT is what they are:) It was evident that they love you and are at ease with you. This road that we are on is so bumpy and so hard, but you can have every confidence that you are following the Father's plan for your family! You are a "natural" mother:) I am so happy for your family!

  2. Aw, Lena, I'm crying, just hoping and praying the boys come home to you and Bob very, very soon!

    Hope you're feeling better, too.

Merry Christmas and I pray you have a very Blessed New Year!
