You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.
You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Lena's (first) mission trip to

Can't wait to see what God has in store next.....

Pray with us, please.

We are praying and believing that our I71h approval from the Phoenix office (praise that the office is nearby) of USCIS (Customs & Immigration Services) will arrive in time (by March 6) so that we make take it down to Haiti. Please pray with us that it will arrive without delay, that there will be no mistakes or requests for further information-that the office staff have everything they need to grant the approval and send the letter. Please pray that the mail is not delayed. This is the last piece of paper that we need for the American side of the adoption process.

We must have this letter to have an appointment in Haiti that begins the Haitian side of the adoption process. This letter and accompanying forms must be filed in person, in Haiti.

We are praying and believing, trusting God's perfect timing. Please join with us-your prayers are needed!

Additional Thoughts/Comments that include encouraging verses would be very much appreciated......

Here are 2 that came to mind this morning.

I am praying to you because I know you will answer, O God. Bend down and listen as I pray.
Psalms 17:6

Then he touched their eyes and said, "Because of your faith, it will happen."

Matthew 9:29

  1. Of course I will pray! I'm sorry I haven't responded to this earlier, but I have been VERY sick since Monday.

Here's a verse I have hanging in my house that I cling to:
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
    Mark 11:24

Love you girl! I have faith it will come.

  2. Hi Lena, I will certainly pray. Our own I-171h was a bit delayed, and I remember that desperate feeling! In fact, it got to the point where we had only a few days left before my trip to Haiti. I called and emailed the office and told them I would be traveling within the week and asked if they could please help me. They were nice enough to schedule an appointment for me to come in and pick it up in person! Don't hesitate to contact USCIS and ask them to put a rush on things.

  5. Hi Cara-thanks for the tip...I have contacted the office and we'll see what happens. I'm trusting God to work it all out. If it gets here in time, GREAT. If not, it simply means I will get to return to Haiti again, soon, for another visit. God will provide the funds for that if that is His plan. Either way, it will be fine. God is great, all the time!

    Hugs to you,

    Lena
