You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.
You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Thanks for praying...

Hi all,

Thanks for your prayer support.

We appreciate it a great deal.

We did not end up having our appointment while we were in Haiti.

Talk about frustrating.

However, I am coming to terms with it by remembering this:

And we know that God causes everything to work together
for the good of those who love God
and are called according to his purpose for them.

Romans 8:28 NLT

We love God, and we KNOW that He put this (our family) together, so we trust Him to work it out.

Also it means we get to go back and visit the boys again, sooner, rather than later.

We're trusting God to work that out too.

We don't know when or how, we can't see a way.

But we have faith that God will provide the way and the timing.

So we are frustrated but determined.

God is great.

All the time.

No matter what.

  1. Hey Lena~ I'm frustrated with you that you didn't get to file your papers. What a huge disappointment... especially after God worked such a miracle to get you the I-171h right before you left. It just doesn't make any sense. But I believe, along with you, that God can make good out of any situation for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Ultimately, no scheme of Satan or corrupt govt. or man or situation can ever thwart God accomplishing what He wills. So, though the road may be LONG and full of tears... HE WILL have the victory! I'll continue to pray that you get down there for your DHS appt. SOON!

  3. I think Cara B said it all. I can only add that I think you are handling this better than I would be! Your trust in Him is admirable. I am going to happily anticipate your getting to see them again VERY soon so you CAN have that appointment!

Oh, don't get me wrong-I have thrown a fit, pouted and been extremely frustrated at times.

I'm CHOOSING to trust God to work it all out.

I'm doing better, after having some not so good moments.

    That's all.
