You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.
You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Forward movement...

Children are coming home from the O.....
Files are moving.....
It's so encouraging.

Here, Kathy outlines the Haitian adoption process, it helps me, and I thought it would help you to understand the process a bit. Thanks, Kathy.

We are not at the first step on the list yet-still working on things on the American side of the process. But we are getting close......My guess is that we will be onto that first step very soon-maybe in 2-3 weeks, and the 2nd step in March. And that is when the estimated timeline (guess, really) starts....anywhere from 18-36 months.

It's been a great day. Beautiful, cloudy, slightly humid, which is a nice change for this neck of the woods. A bit warmer today too. Productive day at work. Calls for new work coming in. Studying God's word. Hanging out with my hubby and friends. Eating good food.

Planning to go back to the Secretary of State tomorrow, to get those forms from the other day Authenticated....At least now, I know where I am going...and see that it's a pretty simple process. Although it's a 45-60 minute drive, I'm grateful it is within driving distance. So going back is really not a terribly big deal. "Road Trip, anyone?"

I'm so grateful for each and every thing....big and small, all the blessings come from God. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

  2. So glad it's moving Lena! Though I have to admit that seeing 18-36 months hurt my heart for you. I pray for patience for you and for peace and comfort for your boys as they wait, too.

Enjoy your road trip and have a great weekend!
